A desktop app, free and local-first. macOS is not planned for now.
System requirements
Values taken from the app's repository (version 0.1.0). Minimum and recommended memory are still being measured.
Windows
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (x64).
- About 63 MB .exe installer, can be installed without administrator rights (for your user account only).
- WebView2, already on Windows 11 and up-to-date Windows 10, installed automatically if missing.
Linux
- 64-bit (x86_64) distribution from 2022 or later: glibc 2.35 or newer, such as Ubuntu 22.04 or equivalent.
- AppImage, no installation needed, audio and video playback components included.
macOS
- Not distributed: macOS is not planned for now.
On both systems
- 64-bit x86 processor (x64). ARM processors are not supported.
- No dedicated graphics card required: the local AI runs on the processor.
- The app, plus AI models downloaded on demand (75 to 466 MB for transcription, depending on the model you pick), plus room for your media and renders.
- Memory: minimum and recommended values are being measured on real machines and will be published before launch.
- Internet: not needed to edit. It is used to download an AI model the first time and to sign in to the free account required to export, which then stays valid for 14 days offline.
